Welcome to WDD Kauai Branch.

Serving the Employers and Job Seekers of the Garden Island

We are conveniently located in Lihue at 3100 Kuhio Highway Ste. C-9 next to the Unemployment Insurance office. We are open Monday through Friday except State Holidays from 7:45am to 4:30pm.

WDD's primary mission is to provide referral and placement services which matches job seekers with jobs and jobs with job seekers. All persons and businesses legally authorized to do business and work in the United States are eligible for our services at no cost.

We are committed to providing the best employment and training services possible to the people of Kauai. To do this, the Hawaii State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Workforce Development Division (WDD) partners with other public and private employment and training providers in each county to form Hawaii's One-Stop Center for Workforce Assistance Network.

    Job Seeker Services

    Qualified job ready applicants can find job leads in a variety of occupations from our list of current job openings. For those that need help, WDD offers career exploration and counseling, employability and skills assessment, and tips for finding the right job. We have a resource room that any registered job seeker or employer can use.

    Employment Services for Employers

    Employer job openings are listed in the largest computerized job matching and referral services in the State, WDD's ALEX.

    Job vacancies are also posted on Hoike Community Television and at other agencies throughout the island. Hoike allows employers to advertise job openings on TV twenty-four hours a day.

    Employers can list their job vacancies with WDD by phone, fax, or mail by completing our job order form. It will insure that enough information is posted to properly match workers to the job. Please call us @ 274-3056 and we will be happy to fax you the form.
