NGA Pathways to Advancement Policy Academy
Hawaii was one of several states selected by the National Governors Association (NGA) Center for Best Practices for the Pathways to the Advancement Policy Academy. The academy assists the selected states to change higher education, workforce development, economic development, and welfare policies to help more adults obtain postsecondary credentials. State teams were given ambitious goals to meet including: identifying and implementing major policy changes across different state systems and to improve practices within various state institutions or agencies in order to increase postsecondary enrollment and graduation for working adults.
