Scholarship Eligibility
Note: All individuals enrolling in a job training course will need to complete the Scholarship Application Form (click to download) and submit it to your local One-Stop Center representative (contact info is found below).
As part of SESP's goal to provide green job skills training to Hawaii's workforce, the program offers many scholarships that cover 100% of a qualified individual's training course costs. Scholarships will only be provided for courses from approved training providers (meaning any course you find here), and must be used to prepare individuals for careers in one of the following green industries:
- Energy-efficient building, construction, and retrofitting;
- Renewable energy power;
- Energy-efficient and advanced drive train vehicle;
- Biofuels;
- Deconstruction and materials use;
- Energy efficiency assessment;
- Manufacturing/production of sustainable products; or
- Green construction
To receive scholarships, individuals must demonstrate their legal ability to work in the U.S., must provide identification that shows age, and must be registered with the Selective Service (for men only).
