Program Name: CompTIA A+ Computing Essentials

The Computing Essentials program furnishes a national industry level certification (COMPTIA) while providing students with the background, fundamental knowledge and a level of experience to enter the computer field. Each student will be able to build, configure, optimize and troubleshoot a standalone computer, as well as, gain in-depth knowledge of DOS, Windows 2000, XP, Vista & Windows 7 or above operating systems. Students will be placed in various outsourced internship programs where they will work alongside IT professionals to gain work experience.

Course Schedule:
Evening - 12 weeks (Monday through Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.).

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will receive a course completion certificate. They will then be scheduled for a certification exam.
The A+ program requires a student to pass 2 exams; 1 in Computing Essential, and 1 in IT Technician before they are completely certified. A score of 700 or better will qualify the student to become CompTIA certified.

Tuition Includes:
A total of 270 classroom hours.
Registration fee, course, books, tool kit, electrostatic discharge (ESD) strap, registration fee for each section, and (2) testing vouchers for the A+ exams.

Minimum of 9th grade reading comprehension and basic math skills.
