Conversational ASL (American Sign Language)

 The American Sign Language class series will be a blended learning environment loaded with face-to-face as well as online practicing. Instructors will lead you in exercises and conversations in the classroom, as well as show you how to use the online tools for practice at home. 

For this class students should have completed ASL Level 1 or have equivalent experience with signs.


In this class students will gain a deeper knowledge of both signing and understanding signs. 


By the end of this class students will:

  • Improve accuracy and speed with signing (ie: sign a children's poem or song)

  • Increase accuracy in reading signs

  • Interact more with the Deaf community

  • Spend more one-on-one time communicating (lots of lab time)

  • Learn tons more signs to deepen communication
