American Sign Language Series-Level 1 (ETF) The American Sign Language class series will be a blended learning environment loaded with face-to-face as well as online practicing. Certified and seasoned instructors will lead you in exercises and conversations in the classroom, as well as show you how to use the online tools for practice at home. Both instructors have been working with the State of Hawaii for many years to advocate and interpret for the Deaf community. We invite all learners with all interests to attend. Whether you want the language skills for working or for communicating with a friend, this program will be perfect for you. Learning Outcomes: · Continue to develop skills using the ASL alphabet by increase expressive and receptive speed. · Additional conversational signs, which will result in smoother, more extensive one on one conversations. · Additional important events that have greatly influenced Deaf people and Deaf culture.
