Description

The purpose of the Emergency Medical Technician Certificate of Completion program is to prepare students to provide basic life support to patients in the pre-hospital emergency care setting.

Special Admission Requirements for Emergency Medical: Non-program courses must be completed prior to admission to the EMT program. After acceptance to the college, applicants to the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program will be evaluated based on a point system that includes exam scores, letters of recommendation, and an interview. Interviews will be scheduled for applicants with the highest total scores in rank order, highest to lowest, until the admission quota is reached.
