Do I have to pay for ETP training programs?
Financial aid is available through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) for the ETP training programs listed on this website. This means that in many cases, these training programs can be taken at zero cost to the individual. However, to receive any financial aid through WIOA, individuals must first visit and be qualified by their county's One-Stop Center BEFORE enrolling in any training program. The One-Stop Center will work with you to determine what your career goals are and if certain training programs can get you there. They can also offer a variety of other support services geared toward helping you find work and build a successful career.
An individual's eligibility is at the sole discretion of the One-Stop Center, but the main factors in determining whether you may be eligible to receive WIOA financial aid are:
- If you have been laid off or are otherwise unemployed and are currently receiving unemployment insurance benefits
- If your family's income for the past year falls below certain income thresholds
Please note that WIOA funding is only one form of financial aid offered. Each provider will have its own financial aid opportunities that can help you get the training you need. Contact the provider for information about all the financial aid options available to you for a specific training program.
